San Javier hosted the awards ceremony of the VIII Regional Day of Local History

The Local History and Heritage conservation were themes protagonists in the award ceremony of the VIII Day Regional Local History, which was held in San Javier by second consecutive year, along with the local awards of the contest "Tadeo Jones: we research, learn and take care of our heritage ", organized by the City of San Javier children of 5th and 6th grade of the municipality of San Javier.
The award ceremony, which took place last Friday the 18th of May at the Museum of San Javier was chaired by the mayor of San Javier and with the participation of the convening entities as the Center for Historical Studies and Local Research of the Region of Murcia, with its director, Francisco Chacón; its Secretary, Rafael Fresneda and the director of the Chair of Studies Locals, of the Foundation, Juan Hernández, together with Raquel Sánchez, Professor of Social Sciences at the UMU. The student of the "Sacred Heart" school, Jimena Kasech Paredes picked up the 1st Tadeo Jones Award, followed by Rayan Khanfri, from CEIP "Severo Ochoa" who won the 2nd Prize and Javier Jïmenez Bellot of the CEIP "El Recuerdo", which won the 3rd. Lola Tárraga, of school "Sacred Heart", received an Accésit of the Tadeo Awards that included five honorable mentions. Luengo thanked the work that in this conveners and recalled that San Javier will soon have a rigorous work that updates the story of the municipality and that is being finalized by a group of experts historians through the agreement signed between the City Council of San Javier and the Center for Historical Studies Foundation Local Investigations of the Region of Murcia.
